The Quiet Man Irish Pub is the main sponsor of Padraig Pearses GAA Club. The pub is the meeting venue prior to and after all games and a lot of these players have represented Australia in the Australasian games. New players are always welcome and interested parties can contact the venue for more details.

In addition to the GAA there is a Quiet Man Golf Society and the Quiet Man Cricket Team. The standard is not that high but this would be disputed by some of the players. New players are encouraged to join and the teams are made up of local customers. The Quiet Man is also holder of the tug of war trophy, which they hope to retain again at Irish Day. This event is held in Flemington racetrack every February.

The Quiet Man only uses the projector and large screen for special events. This would include Spring Carnival Racing, Australian Grand Prix weekend, Australian Rules Footy and World Soccer final games.

There is a great atmosphere during these occasions and the policy is to limit the amount of T.V. coverage to ensure it is not the focal point of the pub.
