Trifecta Of Awards
It has been an excellent year in the awards department for the Quiet Man Irish Pub. They were nominated by their customers in the Moonee Valley Leader Newspaper Business Awards and won their category in the hospitality section. This was very pleasing for the venue as they were unaware their customers had taken the time and effort to nominate them.
The next up were the Australian Hotels Association Awards, held in the Palladium Room, Crown Casino on Monday 12th November. It was with great surprise that the Quiet Man Irish Pub was announced the winner of “ Best Theme Bar” in Victoria. The management and staff were over the moon and suffice to say the party went into the early hours Tuesday morning.
The younger staff went for more records and continued celebrating into the early hours of Wednesday Morning.
Confidence was high going into the Moonee Valley Business Awards held in the Racecourse, silks room on Thursday the 15th of November. The Quiet Man was a finalist in the category of Small to Medium Enterprises (SME) for businesses with staff of more than 6 but less than 100. The process of becoming a finalist was difficult as in addition to a written submission, a panel of judges interviewed finalist.
The Quiet Man received a” Highly Commended Award” and spokes person Michael Gillis said “ it has been a fantastic year for us winning three separate awards and each award is held in high regard” Gillis went on to say “ The Leader Newspaper Award was fantastic to receive as it gives us a sense of great achievement when customers appreciate our efforts, The AHA Award is also terrific to hang on the wall as it is always difficult when you are competing against your peers.
The Moonee Valley Business Awards is also held in high esteem as you are up against all local businesses and judged on additional criteria apart from your core business”
